KKCF is proud to introduce the 124 small and medium-sized businesses that make up our portfolio.
These businesses were selected through a competitive business challenge designed to support development and job creation through private sector investment in Kenya’s Kakuma-Kalobeyei refugee-hosting area.
All 124 companies have received grants and technical assistance to expand their operations in the area with the goal of unlocking the economic potential of both host and refugee communities. They are creating hundreds of jobs—many for women and youth—and delivering much-needed services to thousands of people.
The winners fall under three funding windows: private sector companies (PSW), social enterprises (SEW), and Turkana County-based local enterprises (LED).
