Mohamed Adan Juma operates a general merchandise shop in Kakuma Camp 1 that specializes in the sale of fast-moving consumer goods. The shop is also part of the UN World Food Programme‘s Bamba Chakula scheme, an electronic cash-based food assistance facility for refugees in the Kakuma-Kalobeyei area. With the support from KKCF, Mohamed Adan Juma will expand the shop, creating a dedicated space for a restaurant that will meet the growing demand for ready-made food. The funding will also facilitate the installation of reliable solar power to operate the shop’s refrigerators.
