Palet Kuol Puot operates a retail store in Kakuma Camp 1. The shop, which serves 200 households, specializes in essential food items and fast-moving consumer goods. The store is part of the UN World Food Programme‘s Bamba Chakula scheme, an electronic cash-based food assistance facility for refugees in the Kakuma-Kalobeyei area. With the support from KKCF, Palet Kuol Puot will expand his shop, install a solar system that will provide reliable energy, and diversify his product offering.
